Stories

The email group I’m a part of is collecting stories for volume 2 of a book of stories about people who have died by suicide. I’m considering writing a story about Ian, but am not sure I’m going to be able to. I figured putting the information out there for anyone else who might want to tell a story of someone they love would be a good idea.

Dear Friends,

Are you ready to write the story of someone who died by suicide? Are you ready to let the world know that she or he lived, and that his or her life mattered?

If you are ready to write and share, now is the time to do it. For the next two weeks, we will be collecting stories for the second volume of our Faces of Suicide e-book. The book will be published by amazon.

Important #1. The last day to submit stories to be included in Volume 2 is Monday, February 16th.

Important #2: You do not have to be a professional writer. Just write from your heart. We have editors who will make sure the punctuation, capitalization, etc. is correct.

All you need to do is get the guidelines for writing the story, the guidelines for submitting the story, and the guidelines for submitting a photo to go with the story.

And then start writing.

To get those guidelines as a Word attachment, send an e-mail to  cfofswga@cs.com and in the subject line, put  WRITE STORY.

I’ve read the first volume they produced, and it is lovely.

You can order the book from amazon for $3.00. (The directions to finding the book are below.) Please feel free to help spread the word about the book.
